As JD Motorsports driver Ryan Vargas is in the midst of his first full-time foray into NASCAR national series competition, he will carry the colors of a familiar partner for even more races in 2021.

MaintenX, who backed the California driver at Atlanta earlier this year, has signed on for an additional four races for Vargas, beginning at Talladega on April 24th.

“NASCAR is popular with many MaintenX team members, so continuing this sponsorship felt both natural and fun,” said Bill Schaphorst, MaintenX VP of Business Development. “We wish Ryan and his team all the best as they roll into the 2021 racing season – we’ll be cheering for him!”

The company will also adorn the No. 6 Camaro for Nashville in June, Daytona in August, and the Charlotte Roval in October.

The 20-year-old driver started off the season with a strong 18th place finish in Daytona but has failed to finish in the top-20 since. A brake failure forced the No. 6 to retire from Martinsville just a handful of laps into Sunday’s restart of what was originally a Friday night feature. The finish added to a forgettable day for JD Motorsports, with no car of their own finish better than 36th.

A dejected Vargas took to Twitter to explain his side of the misfortune.

He will look to rebound his string of bad luck in Talladega on April 24th, when he will adorn the colors of MaintenX once again for JD Motorsports.
