Martin Truex Jr. and Cole Pearn have definitely figured things out at the Joe Gibbs Racing shop. After swapping from the now shuttered Furniture Row Racing to JGR, the duo got off to a sluggish start. But they have fired back in recent weeks winning two races at Richmond and now at Dover. Truex’s win on Monday got me noticing some interesting things about the driver of the No. 19 car.

Did you know: In Truex’s first 333 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts, he racked up two victories. Meanwhile, in his last 155 races, Truex has 19 victories and a Cup Series championship. Talk about a career turnaround.

In Monday’s race, Truex was flying the SiriusXM Radio colors. This marks the sixth different primary sponsor that Truex has taken to victory lane in his Cup Series career (Bass Pro Shops, NAPA Auto Parts, Furniture Row, Auto-Owners Insurance and 5-Hour Energy being the others). That’s wild that he has his 19-career wins spread between that many different sponsors.

Dover is also Truex’s winning-est race track. Monday’s race marked the third time that Truex has conquered Miles the Monster, and guess what? He has won there for three different teams. (Dale Earnhardt Inc., Furniture Row Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing). How cool is that?

Anyway, these are just some interesting observations I made in the wake of Truex’s latest Cup Series win. I hope you enjoyed them!
