GiGi is Going Racing! Kyle Busch and Toyota Track Down Fan, Surprise Her For Mother’s Day

GiGi is going racing Kyle Busch Mother's Day
GiGi is going racing. Kyle Busch was able to track down, with the help of Toyota, a fan and surprised her for Mother’s Day.

While the Darlington Mother’s Day weekend ended in disappointment for Kyle Busch on Sunday, as he finished 33rd after a crash with Brad Keselowski in the Goodyear 400, the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion was able to make something really awesome happen this week.

Busch had seen the story of GiGi, an 85-year old fan of his, who has had going to a race on her bucket list. GiGi’s daughter, Kim, posted the story on a NASCAR Fan group on Facebook. Kim had secured a ticket to a race back in 2020 for GiGi, but COVID ruined the plans as grandstands were closed off to fans for the race they had tickets for.

Now, two years later, GiGi is suffering medical issues, including being diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer.

After seeing the heartwarming story, Busch went searching, with the help of Toyota to find GiGi and make her race day dreams a reality.

On May 4th, Busch responded to a screenshot of the story from Kim, which was shared by a Twitter user @AusburnChris.

And wouldn’t you know it, Busch made it happen. Busch shared a video of GiGi receiving the video from Kyle Busch explaining that he had secured her access for the upcoming summer race at Richmond Raceway.

This is truly incredible and you have to have a warm feeling in your heart as GiGi is going racing. So, so cool.

While many in the NASCAR world rip Busch for a variety of reasons, the things he does to give back to his fans is nothing short of remarkable.

Busch has been known to stop in traffic, when he sees a fan wearing a hat of his, and he’ll sign their hat while waiting on the traffic light to turn green.

Aside from what he does for his fans, what Busch and his wife Samantha have done over the years for couples who have had difficulty conceiving children is next-level. The. couple created the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.

The foundation has given out 84 grants for a total of $1,088,000 to couples looking to create their own bundle of joy. In all, the foundation’s efforts have led to the birth of 51 babies.

Currently, the foundation is raffling off the helmet that Busch actually wore during the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway a few weeks ago. You can purchase a ticket in the raffle for the helmet for $18 at the Bundle of Joy website, by clicking here.
