Shane van Gisbergen’s day has gone from meh, to bad at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year contender, who was hoping to work his way inside of the top-20 in Sunday’s Pennzoil 400, lost control of his No. 88 Red Bull Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet on Lap 107.
While running behind John Hunter Nemechek’s No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Toyota, SVG spun out in Turn 2, and he popped a couple of tires as his No. 88 machine skidded to a stop.

Van Gisbergen would lose a lap as his team addressed the flat tires on his No. 88 car on pit road.
