A five-car crash was triggered on lap 55 of Monday’s NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway when William Byron gave Justin Allgaier a bump draft in the trioval.

The shot sent Allgaier spinning towards the outside wall, where Allgaier absolutely pounded Kyle Larson’s No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro.

Chase Briscoe had nowhere to go and also received front end damage trying to avoid Allgaier. Ryan Preece would spin through the infield grass in an attempt to miss the crash as well.

Here is video of the accident:

Larson, the favorite for the NASCAR Cup Series championship, lost a lap on pit road, but is attempting to continue on in the race despite some massive damage to his car.
