Joey Gase, driver of the No. 15 Rick Ware Racing machine, is being transported to a local hospital after a hard crash on lap 91 of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

In the freighting crash, the left rear tire on Gase’s No. 15 machine flew off. This sent Gase spinning around, causing his car to pound the outside wall with the driver’s side of his car. The impact was so severe that the car got airborne.

Here is video of the incident that Gase was involved in:

Gase, 28, was making his 11th NASCAR Cup Series start of the 2021 season. Since 2014, Gase has competed in a total of 85 NASCAR Cup Series starts.

The entire NASCAR industry holds its collective breath as we await good news on Gase’s condition.
