Dale Jr. to Get Back Behind the Wheel Today, And Has a Secret to Share At Some Point

Dale Earnhardt Jr. knows how to ignite a firestorm on Twitter. Wednesday, the 44-year old former Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competitor sent out a Tweet saying that he will be getting behind the wheel of a race car at a race track today.

As if that wasn’t enough, Earnhardt then eluded to the fact that someone else will be revealing a secret about him at some point in the day as well.

Many have speculated as to where Dale Earnhardt Jr. is driving. Will it be a local short track for a late model or street stock event, like Earnhardt has mentioned over the years that he has wanted to do once his Cup Series driving career was done?

Maybe. But chances are he is testing an Xfinity Series car at Darlington Raceway.

Earnhardt’s JR Motorsports driver Noah Gragson was at Darlington Raceway testing his car for September on Tuesday. So it seems like a safe bet that Earnhardt will be tuning himself up for his lone Xfinity Series start of the season which will come in JR Motorsports’ No. 8 car during throwback weekend.

But, what’s this secret? I guess we will find out soon.
