Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing have had a fast Door Dash Toyota Camry in Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, much like they did in the last superspeedway event at Daytona. It was that fast car that allowed the fourth-year driver to defend advances from Brad Keselowski and Michael McDowell to win the second stage.
It’s the first ever stage win for the newly formed 23XI Racing, as the team looks for a victory to clinch a spot in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
However, behind them, Denny Hamlin – who was scored one lap down and in line to get the free pass — turned teammate Martin Truex Jr. into the outside wall, collecting Alex Bowman, William Byron and Chase Elliott as the cars spun through the tri-oval.

The damage on Alex Bowman’s No. 48 Ally Financial Chevrolet Camaro was too substantial to continue, while Byron, Elliott, Hamlin and Truex were all able to continue on and compete for the victory in Sunday’s GEICO 500.
