Brett Moffitt Scores Win at Chicago, Second Truck Win of 2019

He didn’t battle for the lead much in Stages 1 or 2, but when the chips were on the table, Brett Moffitt stepped up when it mattered most. Moffitt won handily over Brandon Jones in Friday night’s Camping World 225 at Chicagoland Speedway. This is Moffitt’s second win of the 2019 season.

Jones held on to finish second in the No. 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Truck.

Stewart Friesen finished third, Harrison Burton was fourth, and polesitter Austin Hill rounded out the top-five.

The remainder of the top-10 were: Todd Gilliland, Ross Chastain, Matt Crafton, Anthony Alfredo and Dylan Lupton.

With Chastain’s top-10 finish, he moves within 10 points of moving into the top-20 of the championship standings. If Chastain, who won last week at Gateway, moves into the top-20, he will be eligible for the Playoffs

Jones won Stage 1 and Grant Enfinger won Stage 2. Unfortunately for Enfinger, he was swept up in a crash with Spencer Davis and Austin Wayne Self which derailed his evening.
