After a topsy-turvy race for the ARCA Menards Series at Kansas Speedway, the series travels to the hills of East Tennessee and Bristol Motor Speedway. Joining the ARCA Menards Series East for their 2023 finale and crowing of a champion.

This race marks the fourth race for the series at the half-mile. Previous winners at the track are Sam Mayer, Ty Gibbs, and Sammy Smith. Both Mayer and Smith went on to win the ARCA Menards Series East title.

Title Fight To The Finish

Looking at the weekend, it will be a tight battle for the East Series title.

Rookies William Sawalich and Luke Fenhaus are separated by 20 points heading to the final race for the East Series season. Sawalich has been stellar this season, winning three races in the East Series, and combination races with the ARCA Menards Series.

Fenhaus has brought a fight with two wins at the Nashville Fairgrounds and Iowa. Where the JGR No. 18 has slipped, the Pinnacle Racing Group’s No. 28 has been able to capitalize.

These two aren’t the only drivers on track, though. Both are going into a stacked field with the combination race. 32 drivers in total on the entry list.

After a dismal day at Kansas, ARCA Menards Series points leader Jesse Love looks to rebound and continue his commanding season and is looking for his 10th win of the year. Joining him from the Venturini Motorsports stables are Conner Jones, Toni Breidinger, coming off her career-best third at Kansas, and Sean Hingorani.

The Newport Beach driver will look to gain as many points to make the top five after being suspended one East Series race for an incident at Mid-Ohio.

After a career-best fourth place last weekend out, rookie Lavar Scott will try and continue that to the short track. He will be joined by a three-car effort from Rev Racing with teammates Jack Wood, and Andres Perez de Lara who looks to rebound after a 17th-place finish.

Daytona Winner and ARCA veteran Greg Van Alst makes his return to the series for his first start since Lucas Oil Raceway Park. The Anderson, IA native has made several Xfinity and Truck Series starts in the 2023 season.

Some of the younger drivers joining include East Series Dover winner Jake Finch, West Series championship contender Landen Lewis in the No. 97 for CR7 Motorsports, and Landon Pembelton behind the wheel of the No. 3 for Mullins Racing.

Other drivers include Frankie Muniz, Zachary Tinkle, Caleb Costner, Andy Jankowiak, Ryan Roulette, Tanner Arms, and several others.

You can watch the crowing of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East Champion live on Thursday, September 14th at 6 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1 and the FoxSports App.
