Sammy Smith saw a dominant performance at Watkins Glen end in a fifth-place finish after he was cleaned out of the lead on an overtime finish in Friday’s ARCA Menards Series race. Screengrab from FS1 race broadcast.

Sammy Smith had a dominant race in Friday’s ARCA Menards Series General Tire Delivers 100 at Watkins Glen International, as he led all but two laps in the race. Unfortunately, for Smith, one of those two laps was the last one.

Here is the restart, which led to Smith and Gray finishing fifth and eighth:

After the race, Smith and Gray talked it out on pit road and ended the conversation by shaking hands.
