It was a dominant day for the No. 20 and No. 25 Venturini Motorsports teams this past Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway. Jesse Love, who drives the No. 20 Toyota, scored the victory over his Venturini teammate Gus Dean in the race.

It was another joyous day at a Superspeedway for the powerhouse ARCA team.

However, the forecast for Venturini’s parade got a little rainy on Wednesday, as the ARCA Menards Series revealed the post-Talladega penalty report.

Both of the dominant Venturini Motorsports cars were found to have been in violation of Section 20C-12.1B of the ARCA Menards Series rule book, which pertains to spring mounts on the cars.

As a result of the infraction, ARCA docked eight championship driver points from both Love and Dean, and Venturini Motorsports was also docked eight championship owner points for the No. 20 and No. 25 cars.

As a result of the points penalties, Love, who is running for the 2023 ARCA Menards Series championship, falls from three points behind Frankie Muniz for the series points lead, to now being 12 markers back.

Additionally, the sanctioning body fined Venturini Motorsports crew chiefs Kevin Reed Jr. and Shannon Rursch $2,500 each and both crew chiefs have been placed on probation for the remainder of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season.

The 18-year-old Love has finished seventh, 27th, and first over the opening three races of the 2023 ARCA campaign.
