Throughout the year, Kaden Honeycutt has been jumping between several different divisions and organizations, in hopes of attracting more eyeballs to himself and his ability as a racecar driver.

This week, it was a seat in the ARCA Menards Series West that caught the attention of the Willow Park, Texas native, driving the No. 17 Chevrolet SS for Cook Racing Technologies at All American Speedway, after Landen Lewis, the team’s previous driver, left the team.

The one-off opportunity was not wasted… After pacing practice, and qualifying on the outside of the front row, the 20-year-old driver wasted no time in getting to the front of the pack, passing polesitter Tyler Reif early on.

From that point forward, Honeycutt had control over the NAPA Auto Parts 150, never relinquishing the lead despite challenges from several drivers, including Tyler Reif, Tanner Reif, and Sean Hingorani.

In the closing laps of the event, the frequent visitor of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, was able to defend against ARCA West title contender Sean Hingorani, as the Venturini Motorsports driver made several attempts to get to the rear bumper.

Scoring the victory, Honeycutt became the 26th driver in the history of the ARCA Menards Series West to win on debut, the last of which was Landen Lewis at Kern County Raceway Park in 2022.

Hingorani would come home in the runner-up spot, extending his points advantage over the absent Landen Lewis. Tanner Reif, driving for Bill McAnally Racing, matched a season-high third-place result in the No. 16 Chevrolet.

Joey Iest came home in fourth place in his return to the ARCA Menards Series West for Naake-Klauer Motorsports, while Todd Souza recorded a top-five finish in the second entry for Central Coast Racing.

Buddy Shepherd finished in sixth, with Eric Nascimento, RJ Smotherman, Eric Johnson, Jr., and Takuma Koga rounding out the top-10.

Trevor Huddleston, who entered Saturday’s race inside the top-five in points, came home a disappointing 15th, after some early-race issues which saw him sitting in the infield grass in the early portion of the event.

Leaving Roseville, Hingorani holds a 37-point advantage over Trevor Huddleston in the ARCA Menards Series West points, with three races remaining on the calendar. Tyler Reif, Bradley Erickson, and Landen Lewis round out the top five.
