28 cars are currently featured on the entry list for the ASA STARS National Tour Tar Heel 250 at Hickory Motor Speedway, and there is a lot of NASCAR representation on the list.

Headlining the group of seven current NASCAR National Series racers that will compete in the Super Late Model race on Thursday, May 25th are NASCAR Cup Series Hendrick Motorsports teammates Chase Elliott and William Byron.

Elliott, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion, is a very impressive racer in the Super Late Model ranks. Elliott has two Tom Dawson Trophys — the award handed out to the winner of the Snowball Derby — on his mantle, he has also scored wins in the prestigious Winchester 400 in 2010 and the All American 400 in 2013.

Byron, who leads the NASCAR Cup Series with three wins in 2023, is likewise a very skilled Super Late Model driver. The 25-year-old won the Slinger Nationals in 2022 and has recorded numerous wins at Hickory in Super Late Model Stocks and Late Model Stocks.

Without a doubt, the two NASCAR Cup Series stars will be among the names to watch in Thursday’s race.

The other current NASCAR National Series drivers that will be featured in the field include William Sawalich, Derek Kraus, Carson Hocevar, Jesse Love, and Ty Majeski.

These NASCAR racers will join a field that includes some of the best racers in the Super Late Model ranks including Bubba Pollard, who won the ASA STARS event at North Wilkesboro Speedway this past week, and Stephen Nasse.

Thursday night’s ASA STARS Tar Heel 250 will be available to watch with a PPV Pass on Racing America.
