Video: Josh Berry Spins on Backstretch After Three-Wide Contact with Ty Gibbs

Josh Berry will have to rebound from a spin at the end of the race’s second stage, after three-wide contact with Ty Gibbs and Chris Buescher.

Josh Berry has been doing a solid job while filling in for Alex Bowman, putting the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro inside the top-10 for much of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Kansas Speedway.

Now, the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular is going to have some work to do, if he wants to score a solid finish, after getting spun around on the backstretch in the closing laps of the race’s second stage.

The contact started at the exit of turn two, when a three-wide move from Berry, saw the No. 48 slide up the track into the side of NASCAR Cup Series rookie, Ty Gibbs, which sent the No. 54 bouncing between Buescher and Berry.

Ultimately, the contact resulted in the No. 48 spinning on the backstretch, giving the Hendrick Motorsports entry a flat tire, forcing him to pit road, and to the back of the lead lap, which now becomes a spot outside the top-25.
