Progressive Insurance will return as a primary sponsorship partner for Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing team in 2027, a season that is expected to be the final full-time season for Hamlin in the NASCAR Cup Series. As part of the extension, Progressive has expanded its involvement with Hamlin and will serve as a 24-race primary sponsor beginning with the season-opening Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 21.
Hamlin, 45, is ecstatic to welcome Progressive Insurance back into the fold for next season.
“Progressive is an incredible sponsor, and we are excited to have them with us for so many races in 2027,” said Hamlin. “It has truly been a perfect pairing on and off the racetrack, and I have enjoyed getting to know and interact with so many members of the Progressive team. Plus, the blue car with the huge Progressive P on the hood is a staple of NASCAR races now, and I am proud to be the one behind the wheel representing them.”
Progressive agrees that the pairing with Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing has been perfect for its brand.
“There are partnerships that look good on paper, and then there are partnerships that genuinely click,” said Mari Pumarejo, CMO of Progressive. “From seeing Denny behind the wheel in Progressive blue to the relationships we’ve built with him and the entire Joe Gibbs Racing team, this one is special. We’ve found so much common ground between our brands, our culture, our values, and really become part of each other’s teams. As we head into our third year together, Denny doesn’t just represent Progressive on race day, he’s part of the Progressive family, and we look forward to what 2027 will bring.”
