Spencer Boyd will officially return to Young’s Motorsports to drive the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado during the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. This will mark the third consecutive season that Boyd has run for the team in the series.

For Boyd, 25, Young’s Motorsports has become family.

“It’s my home,” said Boyd of Young’s Motorsports in a team release. “Looking back at the past year, it’s amazing we all got through it, but that’s what families do. They persevere. All of us in NASCAR are family, but the family we have at Young’s (Motorsports) is very tight. We are growing. We are getting better. We are a team that shouldn’t be overlooked in 2021.”

In a team press release, team principal Tyler Young states that they are happy to keep the continuity with Boyd going and that he is a crucial piece of the puzzle for their team going forward.

“Spencer has driven our trucks more than anyone besides me,” Young said. “We’re proud to have such a reliable driver on our team and in our family. Our organization continues to build on our experiences together and Spencer is an integral part of our growth strategy.”

This past season, Boyd, a Missouri-native, finished 20th in the championship standings.

In 2019, Boyd missed a few races due to injury, but did capture his first-career win and the team’s first-ever win in the Truck Series at Talladega Superspeedway.
