Connor Mosack is one of only a couple of drivers in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field that has competed on a street course in NASCAR’s National Series — the Chicago Street Course — and found success.

So, it’s probably a good thing that he’ll lead the field to green in Saturday’s inaugural NASCAR Truck Series OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 at St. Petersburg, after Mother Nature washed the majority of practice, as well as qualifying on Friday.

The starting lineup for Saturday’s event will be determined by the Performance Metric.

Gio Ruggiero will start alongside Mosack on the front row for Saturday’s event, with James Hinchcliffe (known as Jimmy Hinch in NASCAR) starting third. Ben Rhodes and Chandler Smith rounded out the top-five.

Dario Franchitti, making his second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start in the No. 1 Dollar Tree Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage, will start the race from sixth, with Wesley Slimp, Landen Lewis, Jake Garcia, and Adam Andretti rounding out the top-10.

Kaden Honeycutt was the fastest driver in an abbreviated practice session for the NASCAR Truck Series at St. Petersburg in the No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, but due to the metric, will start a disappointing 19th.

Ben Maier was the second-fastest driver in practice, but because the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado RST runs part-time for Niece Motorsports, the performance metric will put the young driver in an abhorrent 35th-place starting spot.

Other notable drivers starting outside the top-10 in Saturday’s event, which is sure to be chaotic, include Justin Haley (11th), Daniel Dye (12th), Tyler Ankrum (13th), Brenden Queen (15th). Colin Braun (16th), Stewart Friesen (17th), Kaden Honeycutt (19th), Mini Tyrrell (21st), Ty Majeski (22nd), Grant Enfinger (25th), Layne Riggs (28th), Christian Eckes (31st), and Daniel Hemric (34th).

The OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 at St. Petersburg will take place on Saturday, February 28 at Noon ET on FOX, NASCAR Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
