Tyler Reif Released From Medical Facility After Treatment For Heat Exhaustion

Tyler Reif, who scored a 16th-place finish in Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 on the streets of St. Petersburg, has been released from a local medical facility after undergoing treatment for heat exhaustion, according to a statement from Niece Motorsports following the event.

“Tyler Reif has been released from a St. Petersburg area medical facility after being treated for heat exhaustion,” the team said in a medical update at 8:02 PM ET. “Tyler and his family would like to express their gratitude to the NASCAR officials, track medical workers, and the local medical staff for their care.”

Niece Motorsports sent out an initial statement at 4:39 PM ET stating that Reif had been transported to a local area medical facility following Saturday afternoon’s OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 on the streets of St. Petersburg.

“Following today’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at St. Petersburg, Tyler Reif, the driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet for Niece Motorsports, was transported to an area medical facility for further observation,” the team stated.

 

Reif, 18, was making his third career start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The native of Henderson, Nevada, finished 17th a week ago at EchoPark Speedway.

Prior to his move to the NASCAR National Series ranks, Reif scored an ARCA Menards Series win at Phoenix Raceway in 2023, to go along with three wins in the ARCA Menards Series West, where he would also finish second in the championship battle in 2023 and 2024.

Reif also finished runner-up in the 2025 ARCA Menards Series East championship fight, after scoring four top-fives and five top-10s during the eight-race schedule.
