DGR-Crosley announced on Monday Afternoon that Dylan Lupton would return to the team for a multi-race stint in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series this season, beginning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The Wilton, California-native will contest at least three events for the team, piloting the No. 17 Ford F-150 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.
Marcus Richmond – a 10-time NASCAR Truck Series winning crew chief — will lead Lupton’s three-race effort, in the same truck that David Ragan drove at Darlington Raceway and Richmond Raceway.
Additionally, Lupton will make his return to the ARCA Menards Series competing in the series’ finale at Kansas Speedway on October 16th.
“I am excited to return to DGR-Crosley for a few races this season,” said Lupton. “We had success together last season and I’m confident that we can build on that starting at Las Vegas and hopefully contend for wins throughout my schedule.”
“We are happy to have Dylan back with us at DGR-Crosley for a few NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races this year,” offered Gilliland. “We had some good races with him last year, especially at the mile-and-a-half tracks, so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do with Marcus (Richmond, crew chief). I think they will be a solid combination and have great potential.”
As a NASCAR Next alumnus, Lupton has experience in all three of NASCAR’s National Series, making four NASCAR Cup Series starts, 35 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts and eight prior starts in the NASCAR Truck Series.
