When the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the track this Sunday at Darlington Raceway, Front Row Motorsports rookie driver John Hunter Nemechek will have a brand-new sponsor — Scag Power Equipment — on board his No. 38 Ford Mustang.

The team announced the new sponsorship with a press release on Tuesday.

Nemechek is proud to carry the new sponsor’s colors and understands the importance of what NASCAR is looking to accomplish this weekend in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’ve been tasked with a huge responsibility, carrying the world of live sports into a new normal,” said Nemechek in the team release. “Our goal this weekend is to return to racing as safely as possible. Being able team up with a new partner such as Scag Power Equipment at Darlington gives us added motivation to restart the season on a positive note. Our No. 38 team is ready to work hard and perform at the top level, just like Scag’s mowers.”

During these wild times, Scag Power Equipment is just happy to be able to represent themselves on a stage such as the NASCAR Cup Series.

“We’re thankful for the opportunity to participate in NASCAR’s return to racing with Front Row Motorsports and John Hunter Nemechek,” said Chris Frame, President of Scag Power Equipment. “It’s truly an honor to play a small part in helping the rest of the world get back on its feet in these difficult times. We’re looking forward to seeing the No. 38 car carrying our colors on track.”

In the four races before the two month break in action, Nemechek had performed well. The 22-year old driver sits 26th in the championship standings and has finished inside the top-25 in every race this season.

Keep your eye peeled for the beautiful black and orange Scag Ford Mustang this weekend.
