Mike Harmon Ready to Fight Michael Annett at Applebee’s After Being Called an Idiot

After a miscommunication in NASCAR Xfinity Series practice on Friday, Michael Annett ended up calling Mike Harmon an idiot after the two made contact, which knocked the rear bumper off of Annett’s No. 1 Camaro.

Following the incident, Harmon and his team apologized to Annett and his JR Motorsports team. But moments later, Annett stoked the flames.

“I’ve been told don’t argue with idiots,” Annett quipped in an interview with NBC Sports. “People watching might not know who the idiot is. I had to get out of there pretty quick. Just unbelievable these guys built a really fast race car…”

This prompted Harmon to respond to Annett via Twitter, and Harmon even included an invite to a local Applebee’s restaurant to sort it out.

Wow, this feels like we are getting a taste of what NASCAR Twitter would have been like in the 1970’s to 1980’s.
