AJ Allmendinger Takes Stage 2 Win in NXS Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen

It looked like Kyle Busch was on his way to taking the Stage 2 win, when all of a sudden a suspension component broke while passing Ryan Blaney for the lead.

With Busch out of the race, it left Blaney and AJ Allmendinger to battle for the Stage 2 win.

Allmendinger worked his way around Blaney, but Blaney kept the pressure on over the final few laps. However, Allmendinger never wavered and cruised to the Stage 2 win in Kaulig Racing’s No. 10 Chevrolet.

Blaney finished second, Ryan Preece ended the Stage in third, Austin Cindric was fourth and Chase Briscoe scored a P5.

John Hunter Nemechek, Brandon Jones, Justin Allgaier, Justin Haley and Christopher Bell also scored top-10 finishes and received Stage points for their efforts.
