David Ragan Unveils Special Darrell Waltrip Paint Scheme on RaceHub

David Ragan’s No. 38 Ford Mustang will have a special paint scheme which will honor Hall of Fame NASCAR driver and award-winning NASCAR analyst Darrell Waltrip.

Waltrip will be concluding his 19-year commentating career this weekend at Sonoma Raceway.

The car is designed to mimic Waltrip’s iconic “chrome car” scheme from the 1998 season. Unfortunately, chrome paint schemes are no longer permitted in NASCAR, but the team did their best with the box they are cornered in.

The car will say #ThanksDW on the rear quarter panels, and it will have a picture of Waltrip on the hood with the words Boogity, boogity, boogity on there as well.
