Josh Bilicki, a part-time NASCAR Xfinity Series competitor for DGM Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing, will make his first NASCAR Cup Series start of the season in next month’s Chicago Street Race, the team confirmed in a press release sent out Thursday afternoon.

The native of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin will partner with part-time NASCAR Cup Series operation MBM Motorsports to drive the No. 66 Pure Kick Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the second annual Grant Park 165. As part of the partnership, the No. 66 machine will also feature the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) logo.

Jet Sert has been a champion of the non-profit since 2007, and is the oldest and largest grassroots childhood cancer organization in the United States. Giving back to the community adds to the excitement that Bilicki has in partnering with Pure Kick.

“I’m beyond excited to represent Pure Kick and the Jel Sert Company at the Chicago Street Race,” Bilicki said in a press release. “Their dedication to athletes and community resonates deeply with me, and I can’t wait to bring their energy to the track.”

After making its sponsorship debut with Kyle Weatherman and JD Motorsports in last season’s Xfinity Series event at Chicago, Pure Kick returns to sponsor a NASCAR Cup Series vehicle, this time with Bilicki and MBM Motorsports.

“We are delighted to welcome Pure Kick and the Jel Sert Company as our partners,” Carl Long, MBM Motorsports team owner, stated. “Their innovative approach to energy drinks and strong community support make them an ideal fit for MBM Motorsports.”

Pure Kick, known for its hydration and energy offerings, is the go-to solution for individuals striving to excel in all aspects of life, whether it’s conquering the competition in professional sports or performing at their best in everyday endeavors. With its precise blend of caffeine, vitamins, and electrolytes, Pure Kick provides the necessary boost without the added sugar.

The partnership showcases that the brand is here for every type of athlete.

“Pure Kick supports all types of athletes, from professional drivers such as Josh Bilicki to everyday people tackling everyday challenges,” said Kyle Harrington, Senior Director of Marketing at The Jel Sert Company. “Our partnership with MBM is an exciting way to showcase the power and popularity of our brand as we continue bringing hydration solutions to NASCAR fans and beyond.”

The 29-year-old driver has yet to make an appearance at NASCAR’s top level this season but contested a 10-race schedule for Live Motorsports last year in the No. 78 Chevrolet, including the inaugural event on the Chicago Street Course, where he finished a season-high 23rd.

Since making his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 2017 at Sonoma, Bilicki has amassed 97 starts at NASCAR’s top level, recording a single top-10 finish at Daytona International Speedway in the Summer of 2021, driving for Rick Ware Racing.

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Bilicki has a pair of top-10 finishes, including a career-best eighth which came last season at Road America while driving for Mario Gosselin and DGM Racing, the same organization he collected his first top-10 for, one season earlier at Daytona.

After spending a year focusing on the team’s efforts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, long-time NASCAR owner Carl Long brought MBM Motorsports back to the Cup Series, having competed in five events with drivers BJ McLeod, David Starr, and Timmy Hill.

Dating back to the organization’s debut in 2017, MBM Motorsports has made 117 starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, in which time they’ve recorded three finishes inside the top-20, including a team-best 14th in the 2017 Brickyard 400 with Timmy Hill.
