Video: Richard Petty Motorsports, Bubba Wallace Unveil Adam Petty Throwback For Darlington

There aren’t going to be many — if any — throwback paint schemes in the field of this year’s Bojangle’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway that strike as big of an emotional chord as Bubba Wallace’s No. 43 car.

The No. 43 Victory Junction Car will be a throwback to Adam Petty’s No. 45 Spree car back in the late 1990s.

Here is video that was taken live by Richard Petty Motorsports of the unveil:

Also, here is a video from Darlington Raceway of an alternate angle from the unveil:

Adam Petty, who was a rising NASCAR star and was also NASCAR’s first fourth-generation competitor, unfortunately passed away after a crash during practice at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a NASCAR Xfinity Series race in May of 2000. Petty was just 19 years old when the fatal incident occurred.

In Adam’s honor, the Victory Junction camp for children was built and it has served as a beacon of hope for children ever since.

It will be really special to see these colors back on track at Darlington.
