Video: Ryan Preece, Ty Majeski Involved in Early Incident at Slinger Nationals

Several drivers suffered a huge setback just seven laps into the Slinger Nationals on Tuesday.

Ryan Preece, making his debut in the marquee Super Late Model event, collected the outside wall on the frontstretch. This created an accordion effect, with Ty Majeski the first collected and Gio Ruggiero quickly joining the fray.

This led to a multi-car incident, with several drivers including the likes of Rich Bickle, Alex Brunty, Levon Van Der Geest, Austin Nason and others incurring various amounts of damage.

Fortunately, the majority of these teams were able to rejoin the race following the incident. Only Gio Ruggiero and Austin Nason retired from the race following the melee. However, many of the drivers eventually retired from the race, as the damage incurred prevented them from racing competitively. Ty Majeski completed 60 laps before finishing 23rd.
