Video: Ty Gibbs Sends Ryan Sieg Into Turn 4 Wall on Lap 2 at Las Vegas

Ty Gibbs crashes Ryan Sieg Lap 2 Las Vegas 2022
Ryan Sieg went hard into the outside wall in turn 4 on lap 2 after contact from Ty Gibbs. Screengrab from FS1 broadcast.

Ryan Sieg did not even get a chance to see what kind of car he had under him in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco Uniforms 300 as he was sent into the turn 4 wall after a shove from Ty Gibbs on lap 2.

Sieg, 34, was running just outside the top-10 when Gibbs got up behind him and drove through the No. 39 car.

Here is the incident replay:

Since the incident, Sieg has begun letting his frustrations of Gibbs be known on the team radio. Sieg has reason to be frustrated. Aside from being junked on lap two, the Georgia-native came into Saturday’s race fifth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings and he had finished top-10 in both races so far this season.

His top-10 streak will undoubtedly come to an end after the crash with Gibbs.

While Sieg’s chances at a good day were dashed, Gibbs suffered only a slight scratch under the right front headlight decal on his No. 54 Toyota Supra.
