Video: Colby Howard Suffers Hard Crash in Truck Series Qualifying at Texas

Colby Howard suffered a hard crash in qualifying for Friday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 220 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Colby Howard’s seemingly strong day from Texas Motor Speedway has just gotten a bit more difficult, after a significant crash in qualifying for Friday’s SpeedyCash.com 220.

Howard, driving the No. 91 for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, broke loose in the middle of turn two, spinning the Gates Hydraulics Chevrolet Silverado into the outside wall, significantly.

The damage to the entry was significant, and will likely result in the team migrating to a backup truck.

Howard is one of five trucks – joining Armani Williams, Chris Hacker, Matt DiBenedetto, and Lawless Alan — that will not take time in Friday’s qualifying session and will rely on an owner points provisional to make the field.
