Video: Kyle Tilley Goes For a Spin on Lap 13 Restart After Contact With David Smith

It’s been a rough start to the NASCAR Xfinity Series Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey 200 at Watkins Glen for road racing specialists making their series debut.

On lap 13, Kyle Tilley became the latest road ace to find trouble as he went for a spin on a lap 13 restart after he cut low to set himself up for a potential pass going into turn 1, but David Smith was down there in the No. 52 car.

Tilley spun up the track, where Smith had gone to avoid him. Smith barely missed the No. 99 machine, but Matt Mills in the No. 5 car wasn’t so fortunate, as he slammed hard into his BJ McLeod Motorsports teammate.

This incident comes on the heels of Michael Munley crashing into the tire barrier on lap 4:
