Video: Austin Hill Spins From Third After Attempting Aggressive Move on Restart

Austin Hill had an incredible run on a Lap 37 restart in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan International Speedway. The driver of the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet knifed his way from sixth position to third, and he was attempting to cut to the inside of Justin Allgaier for the race lead.

Only one problem… He wasn’t quite clear. Hill clipped the front corner of Carson Kvapil’s No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet with the rear of his car, which sent him spinning to the inside of the track down the backstretch.

Hill would spin to the infield grass and would skid back up across the track. Fortunately, his car was able to come to a stop before sliding completely in front of the field. Hill will now look to recover from the spin.
