One of NASCAR’s most popular organizations is getting a brand new partner for a pair of highly-anticipated drivers in 2021.
Announced on Tuesday morning, Tire Pros is joining JR Motorsports and the No. 8 car for multiple races this season with both Josh Berry and Sam Mayer.
“It’s great to see a company like Tire Pros come into our sport for the first time and use that opportunity to get behind Josh (Berry) and Sam (Mayer), and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together,” said Dale Earnhardt Jr., team owner of JRM. “Weare thrilled to have them as a partner with us at JR Motorsports.”

Ryan Williams, the designer responsible for the car, offered insight into the car’s design.
“The main gist of the car is what appears to be random shapes on the side of the car is actually enlarged tire tread that makes up the line under the tire pro lettering, ” Williams told TobyChristie.com.
Berry will adorn the Tire Pros colors in four races of the six currently signed to JR Motorsports. The late-model star will start off with Atlanta later this month, with two races in May for Darlington and Charlotte, and the final race being at Texas in June. Mayer will take over the No. 8 car later this season, getting two races with Tire Pros at Bristol in September, and the season finale at Phoenix in November.
The company is based in the same town as JR Motorsports, in Huntersville, North Carolina. With over 600 locations across the country in 45 states, the company is ready to reach even more customers.
“The partnership with JR Motorsports and their recognizable driver lineup provides us with an incredible opportunity to reach new customers and elevate the Tire Pros brand and presence of our more than 600 retail store locations across the country,” said Greg Bell, president of Tire Pros. “With the omnichannel assets and recognition that JRM brings, we’re excited to introduce the Tire Pros brand to a very loyal and passionate audience.”
As for the performance of the No. 8, the season is getting better after a crash in the season opener at Daytona eliminated the Hendersonville, Tennesse driver’s chance at a win. He has earned two top-ten finishes in the last two races at two starts at Homestead-Miami and Las Vegas. The No. 8 currently sits 16th in the Xfinity Series point standings.
Fans can see the Tire Pros Camaro hit the track for the first time on Saturday, March 20th at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Coverage begins at 5 PM EST on FOX Sports 1 and the FOX Sports app.
