Riley Herbst and Stewart-Haas Racing dominated Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway, en route to the No. 98 Ford Mustang Dark Horse team’s second victory of the season.

The Las Vegas, Nevada native led a race-high 167 of 213 laps at the one-mile short track in Avondale, Arizona, but had to make a last-lap pass on Justin Allgaier to secure the trophy.

Justin Allgaier, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, finished in the runner-up position and clinched the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series title.

The inspection process following the final NASCAR Xfinity Series event of the season has been completed, and the last of the present race teams are loading their things up and heading back to North Carolina.

After being inspected with a fine-tooth comb, Riley Herbst’s race-winning No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing officially passed post-race inspection.

Herbst has been named the official winner of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race at Phoenix.

Similarly, Justin Allgaier’s championship-winning No. 7 BRANDT Fresh Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro went through the same fine-tooth comb and also passed with flying colors, meaning the JR Motorsports driver is the official champion of the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024.

The engine of both the No. 7 JR Motorsports entry and the No. 98 Stewart-Haas Racing entry will take place Sunday morning.

Riley Herbst, Justin Allgaier, Aric Almirola, Connor Zilisch, and Chandler Smith are the official top-five finishes from Saturday’s event. Jesse Love, Sheldon Creed, Cole Custer, AJ Allmendinger, and Austin Hill rounded out the top-10.

With the completion of the inspection, all results and standings distributed by NASCAR are now deemed official.
