It still seems unreal that long-time NASCAR crew chief Nick Harrison passed away in late June.
Wednesday, the North Carolina Medical Examiner released their findings in the post-death toxicology report of the 37-year old Kaulig Racing crew chief.
According to the report, Harrison’s death was ruled an accident as a result a combination of acute cocaine, oxycodone and alcohol intoxication.
In the report, it states that Harrison landed in North Carolina at 11PM on June 20, and he went to a friend’s house. Harrison returned home at 4:30AM on June 21st. By 6:30 AM Harrison was found not breathing.
The report did also state that Harrison had an enlarged heart as well as a history of sleep apnea, but neither condition was listed as a cause of death.
