Chase Briscoe will head into the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with more wins than anyone as he captured his seventh win of the year in Friday’s Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

With less than 20 laps left, Austin Cindric had control of the lead with Ross Chastain in second. But then the power steering went away on Cindric’s No. 22 car.

As this happened, Chastain, who was trying to catch Cindric for his first win of the season, got a mirror full of Briscoe’s No. 98 car.

Briscoe shoved past Chastain, and then Briscoe made short work of Cindric for the race lead as he passed him with six laps remaining.

Behind the trio of Briscoe, Chastain and Cindric were Harrison Burton and Justin Allgaier in fourth and fifth.

Allgaier, who came into the race on a two-race win streak led the most laps in the race (127) and he swept Stages 1 and 2. However, in the final Stage Allgaier’s No. 7 team lost him some spots on pit road and his car was never the same in traffic.

Anthony Alfredo, Noah Gragson, Brandon Jones, Jeb Burton and Riley Herbst rounded out the top-10 finishers in Friday’s race.

This race marked the final race of the 2020 NXS regular season. Brandon Brown secured the final Playoff berth by way of finishing 12th in the race.
