The part-time 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign for Daniel Hemric has not gotten off to the most ideal of starts. Hemric finished seventh at Auto Club Speedway a week ago, but other than that he has two DNFs to show for his efforts.

The opening start of the season for the 29-year old came at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hemric crashed in the opening Stage of the race, before the finish of the race was rain delayed until Sunday.

The latest DNF for Hemric was a crash that occurred while he was in position for a top-10 finish Saturday at Phoenix Raceway in the LS Tractor 200.

Hemric won the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series rookie of the year award a season ago, but a lack of splashy performances led Richard Childress Racing to replace Hemric with two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Tyler Reddick for the 2020 season.

After his latest bad day, Hemric took to Twitter to vent his frustrations about his recent performance.

While he is obviously upset, Hemric has had his car inside the top-10 in both of his crashes this season. If he can keep himself mentally upbeat, he still has plenty of races left in 2020 with one of the best teams in the NASCAR Xfinity Series garage — JR Motorsports.
