Video: Martin Truex Jr. Spins From Lead After Contact With Stenhouse

Talk about wild plot twists… Martin Truex Jr. worked over Brad Keselowski for several laps before finally taking the lead back in the final Stage of Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway. Truex set sail, pulled away and looked to be on his way to an easy sixth win of the season.

Then, after getting a fresh set of tires, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. slipped underneath Truex and made contact. The contact sent Truex’s No. 19 Camry spinning out of the lead.

Truex roasted the tires off his car and had to hit pit road under yellow.

  1. Announcers said Stenhouse’s car just “came up” on him, but there were no tires down and I, personally, thought it looked deliberate for something that may have happened in previous laps. It happened real fast in the film, but I wondered what happened before..????? Just askin’
