Paul Menard Will Drive Steve Kinser Inspired Scheme at Kentucky

Quaker State has been running a fan vote through the early portion of the 2019 NASCAR season. The vote will determine which throwback Quaker State livery that Paul Menard will dawn on his No. 21 Ford Mustang in the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky this season.

The three schemes were based off of legendary drivers who have driven with Quaker State on their cars over the years.

Eddie Cheever’s IndyCar Quaker State scheme from 1996 was one option.

Steve Kinser’s iconic Quaker State Sprint Car scheme was another.

And Ricky Rudd’s Quaker State NASCAR Stock Car from 1988 and 1989 was the third and final choice.

Tuesday, Menards Racing unveiled in a Twitter video the winner of the contest:

Menard will pay tribute to the legendary Steve Kinser at Kentucky.
