It’s been a weird week for Riley Herbst.
Early in the week, he was announced as the full-time driver for Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Then he was immediately roasted for that fact on social media.
Herbst had a chance to silence his critics Saturday at Phoenix, but on lap 13 he got loose while racing underneath Michael Annett and backed the No. 18 Toyota Supra into the wall.
An up and down week for @RileyHerbst.
