Video: Listen to Spotter Josh Williams Call Ryan Blaney to Chaotic Daytona Win

Sure, we know driving a race car is tough. But when you’re watching a parade of cars battling it out at 190-plus miles per hour, it’s hard to remember there is more involved than just the drivers inside the cars.

In fact, let’s take a moment to appreciate how important spotters are to a driver visiting victory lane every race weekend, but especially those at Daytona and Talladega.

Twitter user @Salzano14 recorded the spotter radio audio from Josh Williams to his driver Ryan Blaney over the final two laps of Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona and synced it to the race broadcast footage.

Simply put, it’s incredible!

Watch and listen here as Williams calls Blaney home to the win amidst the chaos that unfolded on the final lap at Daytona:
