It’s been a pretty good day for Tyler Reddick, first winning Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Texas, and then securing the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Open.
Reddick, who finished 16th in last season’s NASCAR All-Star Race after advancing through the All-Star Open, posted a time of 28.880 seconds (186.981mph) to secure the top-spot over Daniel Suarez, who will start in second.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Erik Jones, and Chris Buescher will round out the top-five. Justin Haley, Austin Dillon, Corey LaJoie, Harrison Burton, and Cole Custer will complete the top-10.
Landon Cassill, Ty Dillon, Cody Ware, Todd Gilliland, Garrett Smithley, and BJ McLeod will round out the field of 16.
However, the All-Star Open polesitter won’t start up front, as Reddick revealed in a post-qualifying interview that the team had to make some changes to his No. 8 Chevrolet, forcing him to start in the back for Sunday’s 50-lap contest.
