We’ve been working all week for the weekend, and it’s finally time for the triple-header NASCAR race weekend at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) to kick off on Friday afternoon.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will take to the 3.410-mile road course first with practice and qualifying beginning at 3:30 PM ET on FS1. Last week’s race winner at Bristol Motor Speedway, Christian Eckes and his No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing team will be among the 35 drivers and teams taking laps on Friday (Full NASCAR Truck Series race entry list here).

Up to 36 drivers are permitted to start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, which means no teams will pack up their equipment and head home after Friday’s qualifying session.

NASCAR RaceHub will air on FS1 at 5:00 PM ET following Truck Series practice and qualifying.

After the 30-minute edition of RaceHub, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will head onto the track for practice and qualifying beginning at 5:30 PM ET on FS1.

A lot is on the line in NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying on Friday as 40 cars have shown up, and only 38 spots are up for grabs in the starting lineup, which means two drivers and teams will not make the race. Chandler Smith, who won the most recent NASCAR Xfinity Series race a couple of weeks ago in Phoenix Raceway, will once again pilot the No. 81 Joe Gibbs Racing machine (Full NASCAR Xfinity Series entry list here).

The evening’s NASCAR programming will conclude with the FOX Sports production I Am Kevin Harvick, which will air at 7:00 PM ET also on FS1.
