There are 35 trucks on the preliminary entry list for Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series XPEL 225 at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. This race will serve as the fifth of 23 races in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
A maximum of 36 trucks are permitted to fill the field in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, which means no drivers or teams will fail to qualify for this weekend’s event. This is the third race in the opening five races of the season that will not feature a full 36-truck field.
Christian Eckes, who scored the win in last week’s Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, will return this week in the No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet Silverado with primary sponsorship from NAPA Auto Care. Eckes has suffered mechanical failure DNFs in two of his three NCTS starts at COTA, but he did finish sixth in this event in 2022.
The notable entries for this race include No. 1 Jack Hawksworth, No. 04 Marco Andretti, No. 7 Connor Zilisch, No. 12 Dale Quarterley, No. 20 Vicente Salas, No. 22 Carter Fartuch, and No. 75 Stefan Parsons.
