Connor Mosack rocketed to his second career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole on Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and he’ll lead a hungry field of drivers to the green flag in the Ecosave 200 on Friday night.

Driving a special No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado, paying homage to Kyle Busch’s 2023 win at Pocono (his final win with Kyle Busch Motorsports), Mosack turned an impressive lap time of 29.961 seconds (180.234 mph) to take the top qualifying speed.

“Obviously, tonight is for Kyle. And everybody at Spire is wanting to celebrate him, with a lot of former KBM people. And just really special for me to be able to run this scheme, his last win at KBM at Pocono in 2023. Thank you to PurePEX for being on board for it and going along with everything,” Mosack explained.

Tanner Gray, who drives the No. 15 Toyota for TRICON Garage, will start alongside Mosack on the outside of the front row.

Kaden Honeycutt, in third, was the fastest qualifier among the Chase contenders. The TRICON Garage driver comes into this race with a 37-point lead over Layne Riggs in the championship standings.

Riggs, who led the way in Friday’s practice session at Charlotte Motor Speedway, underwhelmed in qualifying, as he’ll start from the 13th position on Friday.
