Jackson Macenko, a standout talent in the 500 Sprint Car Tour, will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the July 24 event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Macenko, 22, will pilot the No. 2 Ford F-150 for Team Reaume in his NASCAR National Series debut race.

For Macenko, this announcement is a dream come true.

“I’m incredibly grateful to Team Reaume for the opportunity to make my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut,” said Macenko in a team press release. “This is something I’ve worked toward for a long time. IRP is a special place for me, and to make my debut there means a lot. I’m focused on learning as much as I can and making the most of this opportunity.”

Team Reaume, which has served as the springboard for the career of numerous up-and-coming racers in the NASCAR National Series ranks, is ready to see what Macenko can do at IRP.

“We’re excited to have Jackson make his Truck Series debut with us at IRP,” said Team Reaume owner Josh Reaume. “It’s a strong opportunity for him, and we’re looking forward to working with him and seeing how he develops at this level.”

This past weekend, Macenko captured his first career win in the 500 Sprint Car Tour in the series’ event at Winchester Speedway.

While driving in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be a new experience for Macenko, racing at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park will not be. Macenko has made five starts at the facility in the 500 Sprint Car Tour and captured a career-best finish of fifth at the track in October 2024.

Macenko, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business.

The up-and-coming racer has been racing competitively since the age of 8, when he competed in dirt go-karts at Lawrenceburg Motorcycle Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN.

After establishing himself locally in Lawrenceburg, Macenko graduated to the USSA Kenyon Midget Series, where he claimed Rookie of the Year honors at the age of 14 in 2019. Macenko would collect seven feature victories in the USSA Kenyon Midget Series.

Macenko earned Rookie of the Year honors in the 500 Sprint Car Tour in 2023, as well as in the USAC Silver Crown Series.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is scheduled for Friday, July 24, and will be televised on FS1 with coverage set to kick off at 8 PM ET. The NASCAR Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide the radio call of the race.
