Chase Elliott finally snapped a bad luck streak, which saw him devastatingly lose the last two NASCAR Cup Series events, by winning Tuesday night’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Elliott held off Kyle Busch, who crashed him a couple of weeks ago at Darlington.

In winning, Elliott secured a $100,000 bounty ($50,000 from Kevin Harvick and $50,000 from Marcus Lemonis) which will be sent to a charity of Elliott’s choosing for COVID-19 relief.

As one last parting shot to his rival, Busch, Elliott took the checkered flag and performed Busch’s panted post-race bow celebration.

Busch had to drive from 23rd-position over the final 30 circuits in order to get a shot at defeating Elliott. The rally stalled out with a P2 finish.

Zane Smith impressed with a third place finish. Brett Moffitt and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top-five finishers.

John Hunter Nemechek came up shy in his bounty bid in sixth, while Johnny Sauter was seventh.

Ty Majeski, Austin Hill and Ben Rhodes capped off the top-10 finishers in the race.
