The No. 68 Chevrolet Silverado for Bobby Reuse, prepared by Clay Greenfield Racing to run in Sunday’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series “Sunoco 159” at Daytona International Speedway’s Road Course, has been barred from competing in the much anticipated race.

Jordan Anderson – who’s team, Jordan Anderson Racing was providing an engine and fuel cell for Reuse’s No. 68 — disclosed to TobyChristie.com that the team would not be allowed to compete in Sunday’s event because the truck’s “chassis number was not submitted”

NASCAR has further confirmed to TobyChristie.com that the Clay Greenfield Racing No. 68 was in violation of Section 20.3.1.d of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Rule Book, specifically the failure to submit the transfer of chassis to NASCAR on or before the official entry blank submission deadline for Sunday’s Sunoco 159.

“A NASCAR-supplied RFID tag, containing the chassis identification code and the organization to which the chassis is assigned, must be affixed to the right side main frame rail, near the intersection of the main roll bar (#1) bar and parallel to the right side door, for inspection purposes. Chassis will be permitted to be transferred between organizations. Transfers of chassis must be submitted to NASCAR on or before the Official Entry Blank submission deadline for the Event at which the chassis will be used, unless otherwise authorized by NASCAR.

As a result of the violation, Clay Greenfield Racing’s No. 68 is expected to withdraw from Sunday’s event.

Reuse – with the backing of WCIParts.com and Albireo Energy — was scheduled to start 36th of 39 trucks in the field of the event, but instead will likely not be able to compete.

Clay Greenfield Racing’s No. 68 currently sits 33rd-place in owner standings in the NASCAR Truck Series, currently sitting 47 points ahead of 40th-place in owner standings, a gap the team will need to maintain in order to continue being guaranteed into the remaining races of the 2020 season.

However, the Reuse family will not go unrepresented this weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida, as Bobby’s older brother Roger Reuse, will pilot the No. 49 WCIParts.com / Distech Controls Chevrolet Camaro for CMI Motorsports.
