FORT WORTH, Texas — It’s nearly race time for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. The intensity is high. So are the hopes for victory for all of the drivers in the field. However, for two drivers — Alex Bowman and Ryan Newman — the race for a win will come from the rear of the field.

Bowman will drop to the back before the start of the race because he crashed his primary car in qualifying on Friday.

For Newman, he was set to roll from the 18th position when he woke up this morning. However, his No. 6 Ford Mustang failed post race technical inspection twice. As a result, his car chief has been ejected from the grounds and his car will be sent to the rear of the 39-car field.
