As Shane van Gisbergen, a three-time Australian Supercars champion, brings his impeccable driving record to the United States to pursue a full-time career in NASCAR, he’s also bringing along one of his most-valued partners in Quad Lock.

The outdoor lifestyle brand enjoys success on a global scale through its innovative and market-leading phone mounting products in more than 100 countries around the world, including the United States.

Extending a relationship that dates back to 2022, Quad Lock will transition with the Auckland, New Zealand-native as he competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The No. 97 Quad Lock Chevrolet Camaro will make its on-track debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Portland International Raceway in June, while also taking on an associate-level sponsorship throughout the year.

“It’s pretty cool that Quad Lock is joining me in America,” said Van Gisbergen, who will make his Xfinity Series debut on Saturday, February 17 at Daytona. “They joined me in Supercars in 2022 and neither of us ever dreamed we would be coming to America together to run in the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series. I hope NASCAR fans take a look at their products and come to rely on them as much as I do.”

The 34-year-old championship-winning driver is set to compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing in 2024, the result of a smashing victory on debut at the inaugural Chicago Street Course event for the NASCAR Cup Series last July. Van Gisbergen will also compete in at least seven NASCAR Cup Series events.

Now, Van Gisbergen is officially a development driver for Trackhouse Racing and will be the driver of the No. 97 Chevrolet Camaro — an entry that is run in collaboration with the NASCAR Cup Series organization. Bruce Schlicker will serve as crew chief.

“Quad Lock is thrilled to venture into the world of NASCAR as a primary sponsor,” said Dominic Storey, Quad Lock Sponsorship Manager. “As Quad Lock continues its growth in the US market, the collaboration with Trackhouse Racing, Kaulig Racing, and the inclusion of our brand ambassador, Shane van Gisbergen, presents a fantastic alignment for everyone involved. We eagerly anticipate achieving success together, both on and off the track in the coming future.”

Quad Lock is the latest partner to come on board for Van Gisbergen’s transition into the NASCAR universe, with big-name partners like WeatherTech and Wendy’s also agreeing to sign on, as part of newfound relationships with Justin Marks and Trackhouse.
