Inspection Complete: Josh Berry Officially Wins Martinsville Xfinity Race, No. 23 Team Member Suspended

Post-race technical inspection following Sunday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Cook Out 250 at Martinsville Speedway has been completed.

Josh Berry’s race-winning No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Accessories Chevrolet Camaro has passed. As a result, NASCAR has declared Berry the official winner of the race. Berry is officially a race winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Brandon Jones’ No. 19 Toyota had one unsecured lug nut, which will result in a monetary fine for his crew chief.

The No. 23 car, driven by Blaine Perkins, had a loss/separation of an improperly installed rear axle. This infraction will result in the suspension of the team’s Tire Technician Brian Graham for the next NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

No other issues were discovered in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following this race are now considered official.
